Our experience was marred by the steep uphill trek that left us exhausted. We struggled with the limited evening meal options that made dining out a hassle. On top of that, the internet connectivity was unpredictable, which was extremely frustrating during our stay.

I dined on some epic grilled meat that left my mouth watering! The breakfast spread had everything from fresh fruits to pastries, making it a morning feast. The view from my room was nothing short of breathtaking, with Funchal sprawling below and the ocean glistening in the distance.

The only hiccup was how high up the mountain I was. while it made for amazing views, the bus into town was a bit of an adventure.

The kitchen setup in the Superior Suite is decent, providing essential amenities for basic meals. Enjoying five peaceful nights in a comfortable space set against stunning views was truly enjoyable.

Morning noise could disrupt sleep, particularly from the restaurant below. Shower drainage issues were noted, along with a lack of kitchen utensils that left room for improvement. The steep roads to access the property present a challenge, especially when navigating hairpin turns and potential run-ins with buses. Couple this with the limited dining options nearby, requiring transportation to Funchal for a variety of meals, and you have a few hurdles to jump over for an ideal experience.
